2024 Honda Civic EX-L

The 2024 Civic is Honda's compact car, offered as a sedan or hatchback and ranging from a fuel-sipping commuter to the track-ready Type R. It squares off against the Toyota Corolla, Mazda3, and Hyundai Elantra, with the Type R taking on the VW Golf R and Subaru WRX. The Civic's steering is quick and precise, and the chassis feels composed on twisty roads; the ride is firm on sportier trims, which is the trade-off for its agility. Inside, the Civic offers a clean, modern cabin with quality materials, and the hatchback provides generous cargo space for the class. Standard tech includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the Honda Sensing suite of driver aids across all trims. The EX-L upgrades from the EX with leather seats, a power driver's seat, and heated front seats, but skips the Touring's premium audio and larger wheels. It returns an EPA-rated 35 mpg combined, so you'll visit the pump less often than with the Sport trim's engine.
